I went to a restaurant with my parents and some relatives (it was in April 2006) and that night when we came home, I got a bellyache. My parents took me to the first aid, and the doctors noticed a very high erythrocyte sedimentation rate in my blood so I had to come back every day (for 2 weeks) to give blood samples, but the erythrocyte sedimentation rate became higher and higher. It was then when I couldn’t walk anymore because of the pain all over my body. My father and brother had to help me get upstairs; my mother showered me and put me my clothes on. My face got darker and I had almost lost all of the hairs that used to be on my head, it was awful, and I got very depressed and unhappy. These were some of the darkest days in my life.
In the hospital, they sent me to the specialisms Internal, Dermatology, Gynaecology, and Ear Nose Throat before the Internist concluded that I was suffering from SLE. Then, the doctors gave me a high dose of Prednisone and nearly all of my pain was gone within a week. But I gained weight, because of the Prednisone, and I had to take more medicines because of the side effects. At least I was able to do more and regain strength.
So I put all my pain and suffering into strength through praying…. I prayed and prayed and prayed.. for 3 years I was a vegetarian and I fasted for my inner peace and health. It was helpful, look at me now!
